This conservative frenzy is the worst I have seen in my lifetime. Do these conservative media leaders think that teaching disrespect is the new standard?
In the comments on the media matters site one man is "appalled" that the President is going to address school children to advance his "socialist liberal agenda". I find that to be very disturbing. Teaching fanaticism to his kids?
I watched on CNN yesterday as they interviewed people who are going to keep the kids home that day to avoid having them hear the Presidential message to kids. Now I find that to be "appalling".
It seems madness has entered our society once again. Once again the conservatives are trying to BULLY their way through the intellectually and socially changing environment. They seem to be saying, "Do it our way, or else ....".
What will be next for these angry conservatives? Torches and pitchforks in the street late at night? Are they going to have a lynching of some local liberal somewhere? What are these people teaching their children with all this hate talk?
Reasonable people everywhere need to be watchful and concerned. It is getting scary the way these people are acting. Do they really believe in a Democracy?
It was a free people that elected Obama in the first place. A people sick and tired of the greedy ways of the republicans and their bedfellows. Tired of watching men in leadership do whatever they pleased whenever they pleased. Breaking the law meant nothing to them. Now it is apparent that they want that back.
Remember the song "It's a hard life"? One of the lines in the song goes like this:
"if you teach your children hatred, then a hard life is all they will know"
They seem to have forsaken reasonable debate and discussion, and replaced it with accusations, labeling and just plain lies that spread antagonism and fear. Why? What are they trying to accomplish here?
The worst part of all this nastiness is the talk shows and Fox shows that have such big audiences. If only people would just stop listening and watching, then there could be a discussion. These people do not want to discuss and reason, they just want to bully and spread fear.
Where did "free exchange of ideas" go? These conservatives don't discuss anything. They throw rocks and start screaming at the opposition. "Do it our way or else ....."
